The spirit of Leac na Tine lives on!
Students from Friends of Milltown National School- Co. Galway and Belmont National School brought local heritage and wildlife to life by reading stories and performing poetry they wrote themselves at the sandstone seat along our river walk. A piece of local sandstone, honoring this tradition, now features in the Irish Natural History exhibition in the Dead Zoo Lab at the National Museum of Ireland – Collins Barracks.
This was screened in Milltown Community Centre on the 24th August 2025 as part of National Heritage Week. It was also highlighted as a digital project on Heritageweek.ie
