This photo was taken in Tuam, Co. Galway in June of 1936. It shows a group of young men who attended the Catholic Truth Society’s Congress, the closing Mass of which was held at the rear of The Cathedral of the Assumption.   • Amazing to see William (Bill) McGrath with his very distinct window peak hair line in the picture in this article. I have never seen such a young photo of my Grandfather before. What a wonderful surprise. I know very little about his background, he never really spoke about where he came from but he did fill my head with stories of leprechaun’s and banshee’s though. Unfortunately he died over 25 years ago and is still missed dearly. So thank you so much for this picture. It really is a treasure
