Monument in Illaun

This lough is situated on the boundary of the townlands of Illaun, Gurtnagunned, Drum and Coollecknaleagh and Cloondroon and in west end of parish. In the centre of Bell Island Lough. A sub circular artificial island (east-west 35m, north-south 20m) composed of stone and densely overgrown. Traces of a possible causeway are visible immediately to northeast.)[1]
