Where did Musicfield get its name?

According to the information on this index card, the name ‘Musicfield’ possibly came from an earlier name ‘Gortmacowell’ which was in use in 1660. Musicfield may be a mistranslation of this name, based on the (mis)understanding that ‘cowell’ was from the Irish ‘ceol’.
