Rose Conlon (Murphy) born in 1900, became a distinguished melodeon and fiddle player. She eventually moved to England, and spent most of her adult life living in the south Yorkshire town of Rotherdam. At 76 years of age she made a recording that recaptures the musical and dancing traditions of her youth around Milltown. Two of the tunes recorded are he own compositions; Ladybower’s Reel and The Lonely Maid.
