National Heritage Week 2020

 

 

National Heritage Week 2020 County Award goes to our heritage food project!!!! RTE Broadcaster Anne Cassin announced the winners today at a virtual awards ceremony. Thanks to Milltown National School and Belmont National School for their participation in the project. Special thanks to our heritage officer Marie Mannion for her continued support and encouragement with each project we undertake. Thanks also to our project development officer Lorna Elms and the ICAN community for their efforts in making our website a place where we can showcase our projects. We offer congratulations to our nominee Christy Cunniffe, former archaeologist for County Galway for his National Hero Award. Many thanks to the Heritage Council for showcasing our heritage projects on a virtual platform. We are also honoured to be runner’s up in the Relearning Skill’s category. Thanks to Beatrice Kelly and Martina Malone of the Heritage Council for organising the virtual ceremony. It was lovely seeing recognition for the variety of projects from all over the country.
