Milltown's Heritage Food Project

Galway has been awarded European Region of Gastronomy 2018, the first region in Ireland to receive this designation. Galway County Heritage Office, in conjunction with ICAN  are working with local heritage groups and schools in the collation of our online gastronomical heritage. We need your help to gather information in relation to our local food heritage.  You may have stories of special occasions / stations or simply a plate or utensil which has a special family connection.  Please share your favourite recipes with us.  Perhaps you have a picture of a wedding breakfast/an old till receipt/menus/farming or fishing activity/celebrations/events etc? You can email us at milltownheritage@gmail.com  or phone 093-51876 between 1:30pm and 5pm Mon – Fri.
