John Birmingham: his portrait discovered

By Paul Mohr and Regina Comerford Savage

In 2002, when Professor Paul Mohr published his excellent book on the life of John Birmingham of Millbrook House, he stated that to his knowledge, there was no portrait of Birmingham in existence. However, we are happy to announce that Professor Mohr has now located a portrait and a detailed account of how the portrait was discovered is now available on our website. We are deeply indebted to Professor Mohr for his ongoing work on one of Milltown’s most famous sons.
