The jug is copper, holds two gallons (approximately 10 litres) and bears several stamps on the surface at the top of the handle. The stamps are worn but include the word MILL, a harp and two crowns, presumably to indicate that the capacity of two gallons was the full legal measure. The jug was used in Glynn’s pub in Milltown.
