The stoat is a native animal to Ireland. The stoat is really small and it has 4 legs and it could be white or orange. Its belly and neck is white. It has round ears. A stoat is a mammal. A stoat lives in woodlands, hedges, coastal areas and on small mountain. Their home is called a den site. They come out at night and are very shy. The Irish stoat stays in Ireland all year long. The stoat is a carnivore. A stoat eats rabbits, birds eggs, mice and rats. A stoat lives on its own but a group is a caravan. A female is called a jill. A male is called hob, dog or tuck. A baby stoat is known as a kit. i have not seen one before. The average lifespan of a stoat is 1 – 2 years and the mam. is 7 years.
