My Village

Milltown, Co. Galway

The most of the work used to be done with spades but now all most all the work is done with horses. Even the potatoes are mostly dug now, by horses and ploughs.

They used to sow flax in my village long ago and a great many people had flax wheels. In a few houses in my village still there are quilts made of flax. They are very common now.
