Schools' Heritage Food Project

Gastronomy -Contribution Sheet for schools
Milltown Heritage Group in conjunction with Galway County Council have been working in collaboration with our two local schools in the collection of recipes, stories, and photographs related to food.
Both Belmont National School and Milltown National School participated in this project. Our online archive of our local food-related heritage has been developed and a wealth of information has been gathered. A wide range of topics has been submitted such as Farming & Fishing activity, Special Occasions, Recipes, Shopping, Photographs, Drawings and much more.
All the children’s original writings have been uploaded on our website. Minor spellings and syntax have been made to the transcriptions to ease readability.
Every child that submitted a story have received a Certificate
