Bread and Butter Pudding

I got my recipe from my granny, Maureen McHugh. She has a recipe book from 1940. She made it for my dad when he was small. She is from Kilconly but lives in Drum now. To make bread and butter pudding you need:
- 5 slices of bread and butter
- 3 oz raisins
- 1 pint of milk
- 1 egg
What you do:
Cut the bread in small pieces.
Lay them in a greased pie dish.
Boil the milk on the fire.
Remove and add to the beaten egg and pour into the dish before placing in oven for half an hour.
