Stop watch brown bread
Recipe given to me by my granny from Belmont

Preheat the oven to 180°c.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into the bowl.
Use a wooden spoon to mix the buttermilk, egg and agave in a large bowl. Pour in the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Pour the dough into the prepared long tin. Top with a drizzle of agave and sprinkle over the seeds and oats. Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown and well risen. Tip out onto a wire rack and leave to cool.

Well Dara, you could be a baker yet with that special recipe. I would definitely buy some of your “Stop watch brown bread”. I can only imagine what it would be like to sit down and enjoy it with a nice hot cuppa. I think Granny is very special too and it sounds like she enjoys teaching you how to bake.
