This time of year as the evenings close in, we are prone more to coughs, colds and flus. When I feel any touch of a cough coming on, the first thing I do is make this simple Carrageen drink:

Ingredients

  • Carrageen Seaweed
  • Locally produced “Wild Meadow Honey”
  • Lemon Juice
  • Water

Step 1: Place carrageen into saucepan and cover with cold water.

Step 2: Bring to boil and then simmer for 30-40 mins

Step 3: Strain the juice from the carrageen moss into a jug

Step 4: Pour the required amount of juice into a mug

Step 5: Add hot water

Step 6: Add lemon juice

Step 7: Add 1 spoon of “Wild Meadow Honey”
