Chocolate Ring Cake
Recipe given to me by my Nana Gillian Murphy from Killybegs, Donegal
This is my Chocolate ring cake recipe:
- 175 grms unsaturated fat
- 175 grms of dark brown sugar
- 4 eggs whisked together
- 100 grms flour
- 1 teasp baking powder
- 100 grms chocolate powder
- 1 teasp runny honey
- Few drops of vanilla
- 1 tablespoon of milk if needed
Mix fat and sugar together. Add flour, baking powder and egg mix. Add honey and vanilla. Mix well.
Bake at 375°f/150°c for 30-35 minutes. Melt 100grms of dark and milk chocolate. Then slowly add 1oz of butter and two table spoons of cream. Cool for a few minutes and pour over the cake.
